"Rusty" Horgan moved to Pahrump, Nevada after purchasing a large block of land on the west side of the valley for $5.00 per acre. He came from Randsburg, California, where he had worked most of his time as a miner. Rusty was an avid hunter, dog trainer, and a real character. He was 1/2-owner and builder of the H&H Bar, located on East Street. The bar later burned down in a mysterious fire. Rusty spent his final years chewing tobacco and watching ball games.
