The University of Nevada, Las Vegas Lists of Authorized Positions (1964-1996) include lists of professional and faculty positions at UNLV, including name, salary, tenure status, and the position's corresponding division and department.

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Office of the Vice President for Research Records (1990-1992) mainly contains researcher grant proposal files kept by Dr. David McNelis who was the Associate Vice President for Research at UNLV from 1990 to 1994. Materials include applications, reports, and correspondence related to the Cray Research, Inc. and National Supercomputing Center for Energy and the Environment as well as applications for various UNLV research support grants. Nomination letters and applications for the first annual Nevada Regents' Researcher Award are also included in this collection. The collection also includes correspondence, reports, and research materials from UNLV's Academic Master Planning committee which was tasked with developing a long range development plan for the university in the early 1990s.

Oral history interview with Carol Harter conducted by Claytee D. White on June 18, 2021 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project.

Carol Harter is the longest-serving President of UNLV, from 1995 until 2006. The campus experienced unprecedented growth during that time, including the addition of a new, very large library. Harter grew the campus from 19,000 to 28,000 students, added 23 new or completely renovated buildings to the campus, and with a student-centered focus, added more than 100 new degree programs. Two professional schools, the Dental School and Boyd School of Law, added greatly to the prestige and academic Top Tier status of UNLV.

Her partnership with Glenn Schaeffer, former president of the Mandalay Resort Group, assisted in the early work of the Black Mountain Institute (BMI) Modern Letters program. BMI is an international think tank dedicated to advancing literary and cross-cultural dialogue. This was an important goal to Harter and Schaeffer, who were both literature majors. Harter also discusses many community members who made an impact on UNLV including Joe Crowley and Dr. Juanita Fain.

Oral history interview with Rosemary Witt conducted by Claytee D. White on November 7, 2006 for the UNLV @ 50 Oral History Project. Witt discusses the faculty and where classes were taught at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and type of research being done. Witt also discusses the human simulator and its relevance to hands-on nursing. She addresses nursing shortages at UNLV, effects of doubling student enrollment, changing class schedules, shortening semesters, and requiring summer classes in effort to graduate nurses faster.

Oral history interview with Dr. John S. Wright conducted by Katie Lockhart on February 26, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Wright discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1956. He describes the origins of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas including its relationship with the University of Nevada, Reno regarding funding. Wright also describes the culture and development of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas such as its organizations and programs.

Oral history interview with Elton Garrett conducted by Alan Gurwitz on March 01, 1981 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview Elton Garrett discusses the development of Boulder City, Nevada, how the city has grown, his work for the Boulder City Journal, atomic testing at the Nevada Test Site, and the founders of the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
