Description given with photo: "Man of the Hour, Los Angeles: Howard Hughes, for whom a subpoena was issued calling for his (?) appearance is Washington, is shown immediate candid shots as he spoke to newsmen. Three wealthy plane manufacturer said he has already put $7,000,000 of his own money into the still unflown 200-ton flying boat which is currently being investigated by a senate subcommittee, and would put in much more before construction is completed. Description given with photograph: "Howard Hughes tests the Hughes plane. Seattle--Howard Hughes (right), millionaire aviation enthusiast and record holder, shown with Edmund T. Allen, Boeing test engineer, before they made a recent test flight in a Boeing-built Stratoliner. The huge machine was equipped with extra fuel tanks for the test. Hughes did not reveal the reasons for his interest in the four-motored, 30 passenger plane, designed for substratosphere flight."

Description
Howard Hughes on the flight deck of the HK-1, Flying Boat (the largest plane in the world) discussing with his flight engineer and radio operator, Dave Evans, the plans for the next day's taxi testing of the 400,000 pound craft. The flight deck occupies the upper level in the nose of the 219-foot hull. The Flying Boat was assembled on Terminal Island in the Los Angeles Harbor.

Wingfield has made his millions in Nev. in the mining game. At present he is the biggest man in Nev. owning most of the banks, large hotels and interested in practically all the big mines. Description
A five panel publicity photograph of comedian Tommy "Moe" Raft, a performer in Minsky's Burlesque at the Aladdin Hotel and Casino. The Aladdin opened on April 1, 1966 and closed on November 25, 1997, and was imploded on 7:30pm, on April 27, 1998, except for the Aladdin Theatre to make way for the construction of an entirely new casino. The new Aladdin was scheduled to reopen on August 17, 2000, at 6:00 p.m. The opening was delayed while the Clark County building inspector completed its fire safety testing. Another delay was caused by last-minute repairs to the casino surveillance system. The new Aladdin finally opened the next day at 7:45 a.m. The casino was sold in bankruptcy on June 20, 2003 to a partnership of Planet Hollywood and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. Renovations were carried out in stages, allowing the resort to remain open throughout. The retail space formerly known as "The Desert Passage" was converted into the Hollywood-themed "Miracle Mile Shops" and the theatre formerly known as the "Aladdin Theatre" was converted into "The AXIS". After the casino was renovated, it was reopened as "Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino" on April 17, 2007.
