From the Elizabeth Harrington Photograph Collection (PH-00291). Inscription with image reads: "Fremont Street about 1929 soon after Pros Goumond opened the Boulder Club. The Doctors office sign on the opposite side of the street is that of Dr. Clarence Bulette. The 'Oasis' is Dick and Mamie Rusch's ice cream store. The corner is occupied by Waters Cigar Store." - E(lizabeth) Harrington
Inscription on front reads: Welch & Tune Photo Goldfield Goldfield Nev Main St. Pioneer Nev. Per patron comment, the second business from the left is the Vienna Bakery Cafe, and a fire started there on May 7, 1909 that burned down all of the businesses in that row. Patron also noted that the sign on the back of the car reads "Alkali Bill's Auto Line," and this was a company that provided transportation from the Bullfrog Goldfield Railroad depot in Springfield to Pioneer.
View of Main Street in downtown Beatty, Nevada. The building at the far left is Remick's Garage. Behind it, are the general store and gasoline station owned by "Mom" and H. H. "Pop" Richings. The building at the far right is the Exchange Block. Inscription on front of photograph reads: " Beatty, Nevada. Frashers Foto - Pomona." Caption: Beatty, Nevada
Per patron comment, the building on the far left is the Beatty Cash Store, also known as Mom and Pop Richings' Store, but is now called the Beatty Club. It has signs for Red Crown Gasoline, as well as one that reads "Welcome to Leadfield," and could be from the late 1920s. Caption: Beatty after the boom. Awaiting another one.
