Bruce Woodbury was born in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1944. He earned his bachelor's degree at the University of Utah and his juris doctorate at Stanford University. Woodbury served as Clark County commissioner from 1981 to 2009.
Jocelyn Thompson Oats was born in New Orleans, Louisiana August 29, 1952. Oats' father founded Victory Baptist Church on the Westside. She was involved with the PTA and advocated for African American students in the first steps of school integration.
Thelma Turner was born in Midland, Texas on February 21, 1934. Turner came to Las Vegas at the age of 13 with her family. She worked in various jobs, including as a change girl at the Moulin Rouge.
