Rabbi Bradley Tecktiel was born June 28, 1968 in Chicago, Illinois.

He moved to New York City, New York to attend university, where he received two Bachelor of Arts degrees: one from List College and one from Columbia University. He went on to achieve a Master’s degree from the Jewish Theological Seminary.

Canarelli, Larry (Lawrence D.)

Lawrence Canarelli was born in Roseburg, Oregon shortly after World War II. His family had no money and lived in a tent on the Umpqua River, foraging and living day-to-day. After their tent and everything they owned burned down, Canarelli’s family moved to various logging camps through Oregon and California. His father quit his job and unexpectedly left the family, leaving the 21-year old mother no choice but to put Canarelli and his three siblings in a Pentecostal orphanage.

Shaw, Gilbert, 1928-

Gilbert Shaw, better known as Gil, is an original member of Congregation Ner Tamid, a Reform synagogue in Las Vegas, Nevada. Shaw was raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Los Angeles, California. At the age of 17 he enlisted in the US Navy and became a combat correspondent and was trained as a journalist and photographer. In 1973 Shaw and his family moved to Los Vegas, Nevada where he took on a sales position and eventually became a regional manager for Familian Pipe and Supply Company.

Wanderer, John

John Paul Wanderer was born February 20, 1940 in Yonkers, New York. The son of attorney Emilie Wanderer, he came to Las Vegas, Nevada with his mother and siblings in 1946. He attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and earned a Bachelor of Science degree, then graduated from Arizona State University School of Law in 1974. That same year, Wanderer and his mom established their own practice in Las Vegas, Wanderer & Wanderer.

Wilner, Martin S.

Martin Wilner was born March 14, 1946 in Los Angeles, California to Leo Wilner, an Executive Director at Temple Beth Sholom. He was raised in California, but earned his doctorate in psychology at the University of Houston, Texas. He moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1963 and became a counselor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Soon after moving to Las Vegas, Wilner met Linda at a Jewish Singles event. They were married on December 22, 1974 and they adopted a son, Robert, to raise with Linda’s two other kids from a previous marriage.

William "Bill" Busch was born in 1935 in Connecticut. His family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1935 after his mom refused to stay in Los Angeles for teaching. He met his wife, Pearl, at Brigham Young University and married her in 1955.

Pearl Busch was born February 13, 1936 in Minnesota. She moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1955 with her husband, Bill, and had a daughter, Laura. Pearl has lived in the West Charleston Neighborhood since.

Robin Wadley-Munier was born January 9, 1948 and was raised in Monroe, Louisiana. Wadley-Munier married her husband, Fredric Earl Munier, in 1980 and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1987. She held occupations as a special assistant to the City Counsel and a teacher assistant at Clark High School.

Cason, Jack (Jack Edward), 1927-

Jack “Edward” Cason was born March 18, 1927. He moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1950 with his wife, Maxine. They bought a house on Ashby Avenue in 1964 and spent the next twenty years remodeling the house, while raising their own kids and other people’s kids.

Cason, Maxine (Maxine Cobb), 1929-

Maxine “Cobb” Cason was born September 07, 1929. She met her husband, Jack, while hitchhiking in Oklahoma. They were married in 1949 and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada a year later. Cason bought a house and spent twenty years remodeling it while raising their two kids and half a dozen other people’s children.
