Oral history interview with Walter Weiss conducted by Claytee D. White on November 02, 2010 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Walter Weiss discusses how Judaism and boxing kept him out of trouble in his youth. Weiss talks about his boxing training, becoming a runner for a bookmaker, and coming to Las Vegas, Nevada in the 1950s to be a bookmaker for the Stardust Hotel, and working the slot machine floor. He also talks about having several different jobs in various casinos, and discusses different people involved in the gaming industry in Las Vegas.

In this interview, Welch discusses his personal history and the history of Las Vegas, Nevada, including being raised in Las Vegas and life in the city during the 1930s. Oral history interview with William Wells conducted by David Emerson on May 22, 2006 for the UNLV @ 50 Oral History Project. In this interview, William Wells, the first dean of engineering at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), describes moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1986 to join UNLV. He also describes building the engineering departments, obtaining accreditation, recruiting, salaries, and faculty turnover. He then talks about diversity in the department, the successes of UNLV engineering graduates, and attracting minority groups to engineering.

Oral history interview with Ree Wengert conducted by Jams A. Bibbee on February 28, 1980 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Wengert discusses her personal history prior to arriving in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1951. Wengert then describes the El Rancho Hotel and Casino in the 1950s, and recalls being freely permitted into Nellis Air Force Base to see the aircraft stationed there. Wengert later discusses the significance of the Helldorado Parade, atomic bomb testing, and the advancement of telecommunications.

West discusses the African American community in Las Vegas, Nevada and what the living conditions were for them. West then explains how the Nevada Voters League changed the way politics played out after more African Americans went out to vote. He also discusses his work as the first African American Doctor in Las Vegas.
