Oral history interview with Herbert Jones conducted by Janice Sorensen on April 03, 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Jones discusses prostitution, his experience working on Boulder (Hoover) Dam, the lack of safety precautions, and the working conditions. He also talks about his experience in politics and his career in law.

The Leonard Blood Papers (1888-1962) consist photographs and personal documents from his work in the United States Navy, Las Vegas Labor Commission, and on the Boulder (Hoover) Dam in Nevada. The bulk of the papers date between 1930 to 1950. Included are correspondence, telegrams, newspaper clippings, a scrapbook, family photographs, and various ephemera.

Oral history interview with Arlene Matthews Smith conducted by Elizabeth Nelson Patrick on March 26, 1981 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Smith discusses living in Caliente, Nevada and recalls her family history. Smith also discusses going to high school in Panaca, Nevada, construction of Boulder (Hoover) dam, prohibition, and the growth of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Oral history interview with Von Eisinger conducted by Marilyn Eisinger on February 13, 1972 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview Von Eisinger discusses weather conditions of Las Vegas, Nevada, the Hoover Dam, political representation of the different regions within Nevada, hunting, fishing, and labor unions in Nevada.

Oral history interview with Fern and Witt C. Olive conducted by Terry Rogers in 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Fern and Witt Olive discuss moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1922 and 1926 respectively. Witt talks about the construction of the Boulder (Hoover) Dam, his experience in the Boy Scouts of America, and the growth of Las Vegas. Fern primarily provides confirmation for Witt's reminisces.

The Barbara and John Kizziar Photograph Collection primarily contains black-and-white photographic prints and negatives of Hoover Dam (Boulder Dam) construction during John Kizziar’s time working for Six Companies Inc. between approximately 1986 and 1992. These images are reproductions of originals taken from between approximately 1930 and 1945. They detail John Kizziar’s work life during the dam’s construction, as well as events and scenes associated with the dam. Other images portray billboards and streets in Boulder City, Nevada. The collection also depicts other locations in Nevada, including Las Vegas, Mount Charleston, Black Canyon, the northern Mojave Desert, and the Colorado River ferry crossing between Nevada and Arizona.

Oral history interview with Jinx Cochrell conducted by Delroy Shigematsu on March 20, 1978 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Cochrell discusses the United States Navy, airports, Howard Hughes, the entertainment industry, Mount Charleston, Boulder (Hoover) Dam, her career as a secretary at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and the mob.
