Images depict the Sands and Sahara hotels, Klein's Market located at Charleston and Main Street, Hoover Dam, a library, Fremont street, and the Las Vegas Park Speedway.

Abstract

The UNLV Libraries Collection on the Union Pacific Railroad in Las Vegas, Nevada (approximately 1900-1989) contains employee rosters, bills of lading, and correspondence related to the Union Pacific Railroad in Las Vegas, Nevada. Also included in the collection are Union Pacific Old Timers Club membership lists and bylays, as well as correspondence from Clark County Clerk to Walter Bracken congratulating him on the dedication of the new depot in 1940. The San Pedro, Los Angeles & Salt Lake Railroad Company and the Salt Lake and Odgen Railway are also represented in the material.

The Grace Winkleman Byrne Papers (undated) consist of four typewritten essays, a manuscript about Utah titled "History of Grazing," and a photograph of Grace W. Byrne. Grace Winkleman Byrne wrote for the Las Vegas Sun, Las Vegas Review Journal, and the Henderson Pages, and she helped found the Henderson Chamber of Commerce.

The Anti-Defamation League Nevada Region Office Records (2003-2019) mainly contain photographs depicting Anti-Defamation League (ADL) Nevada Region Office events. The collection also includes a sign advertising ADL's "No Place For Hate" program; ARL's 2017 and 2018 gala, "Imagine a World Without Hate" programs and invitations; and 2018's Jurisprudence Luncheon invitation commemorating the achievements and contributions of Joe W. Brown.
