Ten men commemorate the opening of the highway that leads up to the Reno Ski Bowl at Mount Rose in Reno, Nevada. None of the men were identified. The car behind the men has a banner that reads "Official opening of the new Super Scenic Highway to the Sky to the Reno Ski Bowl;" The license plate [WA] stands for Washoe County, NV. Schoolhouse stands in the middle of the Pahrump desert. A basketball hoop can be seen in front of the school, and the area is fenced in with what looks like chicken wire. The desert landscape stretches out beyond the building in all directions. Inscription with photograph reads: "2nd school (first burned). used up to 1952. Now 43 in new school, actual count."
