When Nevada's Gaming Control Board was established in 1955, Cahill became its first chairman. With his encyclopedic memory Robbins Cahill is the most authoritative figure on gaming history in Nevada. His six-volume oral history is the richest and most vivid source of information in Nevada on the development of state gaming regulation."
