Her husband was hired at the Nevada Test Site as a journeyman electrician in 1963 and they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada with their two children.

Brooks, Marion C., 1913-1995
Marion Brooks was born January 2, 1913 in Santa Ana, California. He moved to Nevada in 1932 to work as a miner in the Blue Diamond Mine and later enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno in 1933. Brooks gained experience in mining silver, zinc, and gold during this time. Later, the Blue Diamond Corporation offered Brooks a position in production due to his engineering qualifications and construction experience. Brooks retired in 1973 due to health complications.
Brooks died on April 13, 1995.

Josephine Bruns was born December 22, 1914 in Las Vegas, Nevada. After graduating from Las Vegas High School, she worked at the LDS Business College in Salt Lake City, Utah before moving back to Las Vegas. Bruns also held a job as a stewardess before marrying her husband in 1949. She passed away March 04, 1998.
