Lowell Moody was fire chief of the Hawthorne Volunteer Fire Department in the 1940s, and his family has continued service at the Hawthorne Valley Fire Department in the following decades. Steve Moody, Rick Reuter, Barbara Reuter, Mark Nixon, Craig Nixon, Kyle Reuter, and Lindsey Reuter were interviewed for Elwood Schmidt's book "A History of Emergency Medical Services in Nevada Oral History Project."

Hardwick moved to Reno, Nevada in the 1970s. He has served as medical director for REMSA, Care Flight, Truckee Meadows Community College paramedic program, Sparks Fire Department, Central Lyon County Fire Protection District, and Story County Medical Director.

Henderson has served for 34 years in ambulance service in Beatty, Nevada. He joined the Beatty Volunteer Fire Department in 1977.

Henderson became an EMT in 1991 while working at a medical clinic in Beatty, Nevada.

A native of Fallon, Nevada, Horn became a member of the Gabbs Volunteer Fire Department in 1967.

A native of Las Vegas, Nevada, Holland began riding along with the fire department after 1970. She became the first woman to be licensed as an EMT after a course administered by the Clark County Health Department. She was also the first woman to finish the paramedic course at Clark County Community College.

After graduating from Tonopah High School in Tonopah, Nevada, Johnson helped with shelter management at the Civil Defense Authority. She was later part of the ambulance service in the area, a job she carried out for over 40 years.
