The Danny Cassella Collection of Sheet Music (1940s-1960s) consists of stock arrangements for songs and scores from the 1940s through the 1960s. The arrangements were collected by musician Danny Cassella. Additionally the collection contains several Tune-Dex cards.
The Canadian Film Centre Worldwide Short Film Festival Submissions Collection is comprised of films submitted to the Canadian Film Centre Worldwide Short Film Festival during the festival years 2002 to 2006. The collection is comprised exclusively of audiovisual materials (VHS and DVD formats).
The Cal McKinley Collection of Tune-Dex Cards spans from 1943 to 1950 and contains a collection of index cards called Tune-Dex Cards that provide the lyrics and melodies of popular tunes from the late 1940s.
The Myram Borders Papers (1965-1998) contain articles written by Borders, newspaper clippings, court transcripts, photographs, slides, agendas, meeting minutes, and a copy of the joint operating agreement between the Las Vegas Review Journal and the Las Vegas Sun. Also included are media kits for the Desert Inn Hotel and Casino and the Stealth Fighter Public Debut, an annual report to Sheriff John Moran concerning organized crime, and a copy of the MGM fire litigation.
The Chester W. Cheel Manuscripts (1847-1960) consist of two photocopies of a manuscript on early Nevada history and Las Vegas with a historical focus on the role of the Mormons in developing the area.
The UNLV University Libraries Collection on International Lotteries is comprised of lottery tickets, advertisements, prize breakdowns and drawing schedules from around the world, dating from 1714 to 1979. A bulk of the materials come from the United States and Europe and are from the 1800s to the 1900s.
The Eileen Brookman Papers date from 1934 to 2002 and document Brookman's personal life and political career. Brookman was active in the Las Vegas Jewish community. Personal papers include programs from B'nai B'rith, scrapbook materials, correspondence, and photographs. The collection includes documentation from the White House Conference on Aging. She served several terms in the Nevada State Assembly from 1967 to 1977 and again from 1987 to 1989. Political materials include legislative information, bumper stickers, election returns, and newspaper clippings.
The Marzette Lewis Papers (1970-2011) reflect Lewis' extensive history of activism in the Las Vegas, Nevada community regarding the education standards of the Clark County School District (CCSD), and her work to fight discrimination within the district. The bulk of material dates from 1988 to 2009. It contains correspondence, Clark County School District (CCSD) zoning information, CCSD agendas, information on Lewis' two organizations, Westside Action Alliance Korps (W.A.A.K- U.P.) and Concerned Citizens, and video and audio recordings.
The Liberace Fan Memorabilia Collection (1944-2004) consists of fliers, brochures, newspaper articles, show programs, and collectibles chronicling the life and career of famed Las Vegas, Nevada entertainer Liberace. Materials from the Liberace Foundation, various fan clubs, and the Liberace Museum in Las Vegas comprise the bulk of the collection.
The Rancho High School Class of 1962 Collection (1956-2017) consists of materials donated by students of Rancho High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. The collection contains school event clippings, newspaper clippings, scrapbooks, pamphlets, physical and digital photographs, and school jackets and sweaters. Additionally, the collection chronicles the lives of many students after graduation through school reunion documentation from the 1970s to 2017. The collection also includes planning files for class reunion celebrations including the 40th, 50th, and 55th reunions.
