Text on front of post card: "Lake Mead in Black Canyon, Boulder Dam", "Boulder Canyon Project of the Business of Reclamation"; Text on back of post card: "Lake Mead is quite narrow, just above Boulder Dam, yet more than 500 feet deep, where it is confined between the somber cliffs of Black Canyon gorge. Beyond the gorge the waters spread extensively over the desert valleys to form a vast lake 115 miles in length, with a shoreline of more than 550 miles - the largest man-made lake in the world. Comfortable cruisers make regular scheduled excursions on Lake Mead."

Hand-painted postcard showing an upstream view of Boulder (Hoover) Dam. Text on front of postcard: "Boulder Dam at Night"; Text on back of postcard: "Boulder Dam is the highest in the world, rises 727 feet above bed rock. It is 650 feet thick at the base, and the 45 foot crest forms a highway bridge from wall to wall of the gorge, 1180 feet in length, connecting transcontinental traffic arteries between Kingman, Arizona and Boulder City, Nevada. The view of the Dam at night is a most impressive spectacle."

Rhyolite panorama, November 21, 1906; Text on front of postcard: "Rhyolite, Nevada 11-21-06"; Handwritten note on back of postcard: "1905 to 1908 Rhyolite was a town of 8,000. $3,000,000 were taken out of the mines but the veins were superficial & soon became exhausted. The town today is a ghost town with perhaps not 5 people living in it."
