Verilee Louise Austin was born to Vera and Lawrence Austin in Gavelston, Texas. She later moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. She was married to James Shelbourne but the couple divorced in 1974. Verilee Shelbourne died in Las Veagas on August 18, 2011.
Martin Arthur Sherman was born on September 6, 1932 to Alonzo and Gerda Sherman in Wichita, Kansas. He married Barbara Smith and the couple had four children. The family moved to southern Nevada in 1957. Sherman was a lieutenant with the Henderson Police Department. He and Barbara divorced in 1972 and he married Patricia Rae. After leaving the police department, he owned a locksmith shop and later worked as a propety manager. He was an active member of the Lions Club. He retired to Cedar City, Utah where he died on April 24, 2016.
Betty Joan Cummings was born to Eunice Audrey Purifoy and Harold Phillip Cummings in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on December 27, 1932. The family later moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and Betty attended the Las Vegas Grammar School and graduated from Las Vegas High School. She married Joseph Pavlikowski and was active in the local community. She passed away on September 3, 2008.
Elsie Gwyndolene Clough was born to Priscilla Pratt and William James Clough at the Las Vegas Gunnery School (now Nellis Air Force Base) where her father was stationed. She spent her youth in Crystal, Nevada where her parents operated a service station. Following her graduation from Moapa Valley High School she married Quent Perkins. The couple lived in Las Vegas, Nevada and operated Perkins Feed and Western Goods. They later retired and moved to Arizona. Following Quent’s death in 2000, Gwyn devoted herself to church and community service.
Quenton Gale Perkins was born to Ruby Hunt and Dale B. Perkins on November 28, 1937 in Logandale, Nevada. He grew up in Overton and graduated from Moapa Valley High School. After his marriage to Gwyn Clough,the couple moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. Quent worked as an engine operator for the Las Vegas Fire Department and they owned Perkins Feed and Western Goods. After retirement, they moved to Arizona, before moving to Dry Lake, Nevada. He passed away in 2000.
Hubert Edward Sampley was born in Fordsville, Kentucky to Fredrick P. and Ada Sampley. He later moved to Pasadena, California and served in World War II. He married Nellie Louise Lamb in California and the couple moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1950. Sampley worked as a casino dealer. He passed away in 2004.
Melville B. Smith was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on December 10, 1904 to Juliette and Melville Thomas Smith. He moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1955 and went to work for the Planning and Development Division of the City of Las Vegas, and worked for the City of Las Vegas for over twenty years. He was active in the community and died in Las Vegas on January 25, 1987.
Raymond Ellsworth Sutton was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on April 24, 1929. He later moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1941, where he worked as an attorney.
Tona Cashman was born in Las Vegas, Nevada to Leah Barker and James Cashman, Sr. on September 23, 1924. She competed in beauty pageants and won both Miss Las Vegas and Miss Helldorado in 1941. She graduated from Las Vegas High School and attended finishing school in Missouri. She later attended Sawyers School of Business in Los Angeles, California. She married Robert L. Margison, but the couple divorced and she married Charles Henry Siefert. Siefert was a prominent banking executive in Las Vegas, Nevada.
