Herst discusses arriving in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1954 and becoming a volunteer mom who later graduated from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She also discusses her thirteen year career in the Nevada state government and the implementation of the Nevada Clean Indoor Air Act in 2006.

Hafen shares how he began his career in politics in 1963. Hafen talks of developing his ranch into two housing subdivisions in 1990 and 2000, when farming was no longer profitable.
