Description
Moapa Valley meeting of the board, although purpose of the meeting is debated. Cutright caption of photo reads: "Signing contract for Boulder Dam with Wix Co., Inc. in Federal Building in Las Vegas. Secretary of the Interior, Ray Lyman Wilbur at far right." A photgrapher at the scene, W.A. Davis, disagrees and says "Cutright caption is incorrect, although he may be correct that man on the right is Wilbur. I believe they signed the agreement for the buyout of St. Thomas. Final Settlement between town next to St. Thomas & Overton. Final settlement between government and Mormon farmers for their land." See Image pho023269, 0123 0169 for another image.

Description
Board members sign a contract, possibly for a land deal (although there is disagreement on the origin of the photo). W. A. Davis says Cutright's original caption is incorrect: "Wilbur Mills (?) signing part of the contract [for dam], at 6 Co. Office. See Image pho023268, 0123 0168 for another photo and alternate caption.

Description
Miners' camp at base of Sheep Mountain where move crew is taking a lunch break during filming. (Oct. 27, 1931) Note with image reads "The five men on the left were miners, and next to them is Charlie Mason (movie producer), his wife, John Boles on right holding pick, and another woman. John Boles was a popular leading man in the 1930s and 1940s."
