Bugbee, Robert W., 1926-1993

Robert W. Bugbee was born August 21, 1926 in Omaha, Nebraska to CO Bugbee and Ehtel Passoth. He moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in the early 1950s. In the late 1960s, Bugbee founded the Las Vegas, Nevada Boys Club an organization that engaged young men in sports and skill building to keep them out of trouble. Bugbee died on September 02, 1993.

Spencer, Prince

Spencer was born on in Jenkinsville, South Carolina, a small town where he lived for only a short time, moving to Boston and then to Toledo, Ohio, at the age of six. At the age of eight, he won a dance contest doing the Charleston that launched his career. As a member of the famed Step Brothers, he danced all over the country and in Europe, where he lived for five years. From the stage, his career took him into movies and television. In Las Vegas, Nevada he played the Sands Hotel with Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis and the Flamingo Hotel with Pearl Bailey.

Buckley, Barbara, 1928-2020

"Bobbie, as she was known all her life, was born in Pasadena on February 11, 1928, the seventh child of Millie and Harry Johansing. She attended Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy and graduated from Immaculate Heart College. Bobbie was blessed with a beautiful singing voice. Inspired by Nelson Eddy and Jeanette McDonald, she excelled in theater and song. (During one of her many family trips to Europe, nine-year old Bobbie entertained passersby from the family's hotel balcony!) She had a crush on Frank Sinatra, but was swept off her feet by Bob Buckley.

Casey, Linda S., 1951-

Linda Schneider married Steven Casey in 1975 in Linda’s home town of Flossmoor, Illinois. After their marriage they moved to a house Steve owned near the Palace Station, on El Mirador Street in the Ward 1 section of Las Vegas. Within six months, however, Linda was looking for another house. A 1973 Art History graduate of Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa, Linda did corporate design work for Southwest Gas Company. She further engaged her talent when she designed and built custom houses as an owner/builder from 1979 through 1987.

Casey, Steven S., 1948-

Steve Casey is the oldest of three children born to Peggy and Walt Casey. Born in Portland, Oregon, Steve arrived in Las Vegas in 1951 as a three-year-old via Glendora, California. His childhood memories are of small-town Las Vegas. He grew up near Tropicana Avenue and Eastern Avenue in a house his parents built by hand. The Casey family lived beyond municipal roads, so Steve worked his newspaper route by horse and occasionally rode his horse to Paradise Elementary School.

Hejmanowski, Paul R.

Paul Hejmanowski was born August 13, 1945. He moved to Las Vegas in 1972 with his wife Char and their two sons. Hejmanowski served as the managing partner at the law firm Lionel, Sawyer and Collins and vice-chairman of the firm's Litigation Department. He is widely regarded for his expertise in a variety of complex commercial disputes and tort litigation and has written a Nevada environmental law handbook. His sons also work in the same law firm.
