Resolution by the Las Vegas Valley Water District to amend part of their agreement between Los Angeles & Salt Lake Railroad Company, Union Pacific Railroad Company, and Las Vegas Land and Water Company. The June 1, 1953 document stated that one of the conditions by which the agreement could be terminated was if the bonds were not sold by December 31, 1953. During October of 1937, Grand Canyon Airlines provided regular scenic air service off the surface of Lake Mead in the plane which was originally used by the noted explorer, the late Martin Johnson, on his big game photographing trips in South Africa.
