On March 6, 1977, Ronald Robinson interviewed Mary Ellen Campbell (born 1886 in Panaca, Nevada) about her life in Nevada. Campbell first talks about her parents’ move to the United States from England and her own life growing up in Panaca. She also talks about living in Pioche and the conditions of living in these two small Nevada towns. Also present during the interview is Mary’s grandson, Allen Campbell, who sometimes asks a few questions as well.
On May 23, 1983, collector Elizabeth N. Patrick interviewed gaming professional John Grayson (born May 25, 1898 in Grayson, Missouri) at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The interview covers John Grayson’s experience with gaming in Arizona, California, and Nevada. Also present during John Grayson’s interview is Billy H. Gray, a longtime gaming associate of his, who helps Mr. Grayson go into greater detail about key events.
Oral history interview with Jill Roberts conducted by Barbara Tabach and Claytee D. White on March 20, 2018 for the Remembering 1 October Oral History Project. In this interview, Jill Roberts discusses her position as the CEO of the Trauma Intervention Program (TIP) of Southern Nevada. She also delves into her part-time work at the coroner's office as a death investigator and discusses her personal background in Las Vegas, Nevada after she moved to the city in 1977. She describes the role TIP had during the aftermath of the October 1, 2017 mass shooting, where well-trained volunteers were dispatched to hotels, hospitals, and anywhere else the survivors reached in order to provide emotional and practical support. Throughout the interview, Roberts emphasizes that the assistance provided to those in a traumatic event depends on each individual's needs. She shares a few examples of what the TIP volunteers had helped with after the shooting, including listening to the survivors' stories as well as providing information on the situation, helping separated loved ones find each other, arranging travel for some survivors to go back to their homes, and procuring clothes and shoes for those who needed them. Roberts also discusses the gratitude TIP had received after the shooting, including the thank you cards sent by Sandy Hook High School.
Arthur and Edith Block share memories of their respective childhoods in northern Nevada (Arthur) and East Chicago, Indiana (Edith). Sixty-three years of marriage encompasses Edith's career in banking and Arthur's work in the dry cleaning business and as a highway patrolman. It was his career in law enforcement that drew them to Las Vegas in 1968. Recalling Las Vegas in the sixties and seventies, Edith and Arthur discuss their first home, the hotels and entertainers, integration, and Howard Hughes. They talk about train service, agriculture, Basque influence, and the Thunderbirds in northern Nevada, and what it was like to live in those small rural towns. In contrast, they mention the downtown renovation, heavy traffic, explosive growth, and entertainment options in Las Vegas. In addition to their careers and raising a family, Edith and Arthur talk about their involvement with their church, which provides outreach programs and a certified day school. Arthur mentions working as security for the Summa Corporation after he retired from law enforcement, and Edith provides details about her work in banking. They also comment on the future of Las Vegas/Clark County and express their love for the state of Nevada.

The Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce Records (1911-2020) contain organizational documents from the Chamber’s history, including administrative and financial records, legal documents such as ordinances and legislation, newsletters and promotional guides, advertising and publicity materials for the city and its retailers, and original photographic prints, negatives, and reproductions. The collection also contains audiovisual materials featuring Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce events from approximately 1997 to 2013.
Three decades prior to this interview, Chris Guinchigliani moved to Las Vegas and began teaching at the Clark County School District. Seeing Las Vegas as a place of personal opportunity, she involved herself first in the teachers union; eventually serving as president of the Nevada State Education Association from 1987 through 1991. She shares some of her political experiences being elected to the Nevada State Assembly for 16 years and then became a Clark County Commissioner. Park Neighborhood and Chris was among those who originated the idea to getting a historical designation for the community.
