Oral history interview with Wilvera Leavitt conducted by Pat van Betten on October 30, 2012 for the History of Blue Diamond Village in Nevada Oral History Project. In this interview, Leavitt talks about growing up in the township of Arden, Nevada. She talked about her father’s employment for the Blue Diamond Mine, the water tower in Arden, and moving to Mesquite, Nevada.

Oral history interview with Maynard Sloate conducted by Joyce Moore on June 12, 2007 for the All That Jazz Oral History Project. In this interview, Sloate discusses his early life in Los Angeles, California and his career as a jazz drummer. He remembers performing at the Tropicana, the Union Plaza, and becoming an entertainment director for production shows. Sloate describes the increases in price to attend a show in Las Vegas, and the use of taped music instead of live musicians. Lastly, Sloate talks about the challenges in making a career as a musician.

Oral history interview with Gillian Kabat conducted by Joyce Marshall on June 29, 1996 for the UNLV University Libraries Oral History Collection. In this interview, Kabat discusses her career as a dancer and being a member of the Bluebell Girls dance troupe. She talks about obtaining working visas to perform in the United States, being a dancer during the 1960s, and transitioning into a teaching career.

Oral history interview with Jack Binion conducted by David Schwartz on October 17, 2008 for the UNLV University Libraries Oral History Collection. In this interview, Binion discusses his early life and growing up as the son of the gaming operator, Benny Binion. He talks about working with Joe Brown at the Horseshoe Casino, the opening of the Golden Nugget, and casino surveillance. Oral history interview with Larry Lee conducted by Tina Statucki on November 07, 2006 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Lee reflects on his career with the Clark County School District throughout the 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s, challenges that he faced as both an administrator and a teacher, and shares his opinions on the direction of college-preparatory education.
