The Stand OUT for Equality Records (2008-2011) contain correspondence, lobbying materials, press kits, promotional materials, expense reports, meeting agendas and minutes, certificates, and notes pertaining to the 2009 and 2011 lobbying efforts by Stand OUT for Equality for gay and straight domestic partnership benefits and transgender rights held in Carson City, Nevada. The collection also contains photographic prints of the 2009 and 2011 Equality Days in Carson City, copies of legislation related to domestic partnerships in Nevada, event invitations, newspaper clippings, and optical discs with digital copies of fliers, posters, logos, manuals, training videos, and photographs, as well as templates and budgeting information.
Archival Collection
The Donna Andress Papers (1890-2024) contain the personal papers of Donna Andress, a longtime resident and activist in Southern Nevada. Materials include correspondence and newspaper clippings from the Nevada Welfare Committee, on which Andress served as chairperson during the 1970s, in addition to pamphlets and newsletters from various Nevada historical organizations and committees. The papers reflect her involvement with community organizations throughout Southern Nevada.
Archival Collection
George Knox Roth (1907-1999) worked as a scientific research assistant to John Meier, a special assistant to Howard Hughes at Hughes-Nevada Operations. Together Roth and Meier organized and coordinated a study on the impact of nuclear testing and opposition to it in Nevada for Hughes. Roth was also involved with Meier when he engaged in the large-scale purchase of mining interests in Nevada on behalf of Hughes.
