Oral history interview with Thomas Rodriguez conducted by Maribel Estrada Calderón on September 10, 2018 for the Latinx Voices of Southern Nevada Oral History Project. Rodriguez discusses how his grandparents migrated from Mexico to Topeka, Kansas. Rodriguez later discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada to work for the Las Vegas Clark County Consortium. He mentions the Latino Youth Leadership Program and his college experience. He goes on to discuss his involvement in the Chicano Movement and Hispanics in Politics and describes the lawsuit he filed against the Clark County School District for employment discrimination. Rodriguez then talks about the Rafael Rivera Community Center and describes the growth of Las Vegas.
Oral history interview with Ellen Cosgrove conducted by Claytee D. White on August 19, 2019 for the UNLV School of Medicine Oral History Project. Ellen Cosgrove discusses her early family life and education, continuing to her higher education, where she graduated with a master's in Russian history and later entered Hahnemann Medical College where she specialized in internal medicine. She then describes her family life and her husband, Jefferey Fahly. Cosgrove goes on to talk about different communities in New Mexico welcoming people with different ethnic backgrounds, and how she participated in various organizations that helped improve the health of the community and solve issues that prevented patients from receiving care. In 2014, she was hired by Barbara Atkinson to build a medical school at UNLV. Lastly, Cosgrove discusses the UNLV School of Medicine educational program, which is based in bioethics, community engagement, wellness, and problem-based learning.
Oral history interview with Ricardo Torres-Cortez conducted by Monserrath Hernandez and Maribel Estrada Calderón on May 07, 2019 for the Latinx Voices of Southern Nevada Oral History Project. In this interview, Torres-Cortez discusses his family’s emigration story from Ciudad Juárez, Mexico to Las Vegas, Nevada. He describes his career as a journalist and his employment at the Las Vegas Review-Journal and the Las Vegas Sun. Later, Torres-Cortez discusses the benefits of being a bilingual reporter, how conflict of interest impacts his writing, and the lack of Latinos in journalism in the United States. Lastly, Torres-Cortez explains the impact social media platforms have on journalism, reporting on the October 1 shooting in Las Vegas, and his thoughts on the Latino community in Las Vegas.
Oral history interview with Jahaira Farias conducted by Monserrath Hernández on April 12, 2019 for the Latinx Voices of Southern Nevada Oral History Project. In this interview, Farias discusses her family’s background in Mexico and growing up in Las Vegas, Nevada. She recalls attending Western High School, joining their ROTC program, and commanding the armed drill team. Farias talks about her decision to enlist to the United States Marine Corps and describes the type of work she did while serving. She describes her deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, post-traumatic stress disorder within in the Marine Corps, and her experiences as a woman in the military. Later, Farias discusses being president of the Women Marines Association (WMA) and the organization's involvement in Las Vegas high schools. Lastly, Farias talks about the term Latinx and her evolving feelings around identity.
Oral history interview with Beverlee and Ivan Cannon conducted by Claytee D. White on April 12, 2011 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, the Cannons discuss their personal histories and living in Las Vegas, Nevada during the 1950s. Beverlee Cannon describes her father's ice company, and later describes the work she and Ivan did for the Nevada Test Site and Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico while contracted through Reynolds Electrical & Engineering Company. Ivan Cannon talks about his time in the United States Navy during World War II and working for the Southern Nevada Telephone Company. The couple also jointly discuss divorcing their former spouses so they could marry each other and going to India to study transcendental meditation, later bringing back what they learned and teaching people in the United States.

Alice Paiz was born in New Mexico on August 13, 1927. She moved to Las Vegas in 1952 and worked in entertainment. She passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 9, 1991.
