Collection is comprised of casino and hotel brochures, photographs, and slides collected by Brad Burch from 1970 to 1983 that were designed and created by the firm of Cooper, Burch and Howe. The UNLV Libraries Collection of El Cortez Hotel and Casino Promotional and Publicity Materials (approximately 1960-1999) contain newspaper clippings, photocopies of clippings, artifacts, ephemera, and promotional material for the El Cortez Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The collection contains materials (1967-1991) collected by Sheilagh Brooks predominantly during her time serving on various boards and committees under the Nevada Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology. Materials include agendas, meeting minutes, correspondence, administrative reports, policies, budget plans, grant applications and guidelines for various federal and state departments. The collection also contains the applications of Nevada sites for the National Register of Historic Places.
The Nevada Test Site Roadrunners Special Projects Collection on Reconnaissance Aircraft dates from 1965 to 1998 and contains flight manuals, technical manuals, pilot information, and photographs pertaining to reconnaissance aircraft and programs. The collection includes four A-12 technical manuals, National Air and Space Intelligence Center publications, and a list of pilots who flew the U-2 (Dragon Lady) aircraft from 1955 to 1993. Twenty of the twenty-eight photographs are color prints and include cockpit and flight images.
The Las Vegas Bugle Collection on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) History (1984-2002) consists of correspondence, newspaper clippings, photographs, and ephemera chronicling issues of the LGBT communities in Nevada. In addition to records of the newspaper, the Las Vegas Bugle, the collection also contains documents pertaining to the founding of the Gay Community Service Center of Las Vegas, Nevada; Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG); local political campaigns; and photographs documenting LGBT life and culture in Las Vegas, Nevada.
