Oral history interview with Dani McLaughlin conducted by Barbara Tabach on February 14, 2018 for the Remembering 1 October Oral History Project. In this interview, Dani McLaughlin discusses the October 1, 2017 mass shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada and how she tried to find safety with her husband and a group of friends, one of whom was shot. She talks about finding refuge in her office at Atlantic Aviation. McLaughlin mentions the different ways her life and the lives of her family members have been affected, including how her children reacted to the shooting.

Oral history interview with Quincella Rivers conducted by Claytee D. White on November 20, 2019 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. Quincella Rivers began by talking about where she grew up, her family life and history with the arts, and her childhood. She recalls moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1979 to finish college at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and talks about different jobs and organizations she has participated in. Rivers serves as co-chair of the Youth in Arts for Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA) Sorority, President of the Las Vegas Society, Inc., Advisory Board of Forgotten Song Foundation, and sings with Sweet Adeline International. She talks about the histories of some of the organizations, how she helped out in each of them, what their goals were, and what they did for the community. Lastly, she talks about racism in Las Vegas in the past and her personal experience with racism and segregation.

Oral history interview with Ralph Denton conducted by K.J. Evans on January 10, 2000 for the Las Vegas Review-Journal First 100 Oral History Project. Denton first talks about his personal friendship with Governor Grant Sawyer, their education in law school, and his eventual work on campaigning for Sawyer after he became governor. Denton then speaks about working as Sawyer’s adviser. Toward the end of the interview, Denton describes his work on improving civil rights and some of the challenges that came with that.

Oral history interview with Marines Linera conducted by Maribel Estrada Calderón and Nathalie Martinez on February 2, 2019 for the Latinx Voices of Southern Nevada Oral History Project. In this interview, Marines Linera discusses her childhood and education in Puerto Rico, where she was born. She recalls experiences about her parents and the sacrifices they made to better their family. Linera relates what brought her to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1998, which was her journalism career. During her career in Las Vegas she has worked for Telemundo 39 and Univision as news reporter, anchor, and producer. She shares her experiences reporting on various bilingual events that have affected Las Vegas and the United States.

Oral history interview with Leslee Thomas conducted by Claytee D. White on March 13, 2024 for the African Americans in Las Vegas: a Collaborative Oral History Project. Thomas is the granddaughter of Larry Wilburn and daughter of Terry Wilburn, owners of Larry's Sight & Sound, a business institution in the Westside. The business, first located at 1318 D Street, was initially called Larry's Music Bar. The Music Bar moved to Owens Avenue and was renamed Larry's Sight & Sound. For 35 years until 1992, the music shop drew in stars and locals for its vinyl records, record players, and casssettes. In the interview, Thomas shares how she learned to work in the business, stay connected to family, and be a contributing member of the community.
