Oral history interview with Charles H. Finks conducted by Mildred Walker on March 04, 1980 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Finks discusses his life in West Las Vegas, Nevada. Finks also discusses the difficulties in finding a job as an African American, and the ways that African Americans had to present themselves while working in hotel or casinos on the Las Vegas, Nevada Strip.

Oral history interview with Ruby Thomas conducted by Craig Hawkins on October 05, 1973 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Thomas discusses her career as a teacher in Las Vegas, Nevada and being member of the Retired Teachers Association. She then describes social and environmental changes, and the construction of Hoover Dam (Boulder Dam). Lastly, Thomas recalls the population growth and casino development in Las Vegas.

Oral history interview with Shannon Rabb conducted by Claytee D. White on December 20, 2022 for the African Americans in Las Vegas: a Collaborative Oral History Project. In this interview, Rabb describes her experience living in the Herbert Gerson Housing Development on the Westwide of Las Vegas. She describes it as safe, as community, and as protection from the police. In this interview, Rabb discusses a wide variety of topics including gangs, drugs, Westside businesses, and family with an expanded definition.

Oral history interview with Frances Moore conducted by Susan Kendall on March 30, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Moore and her priest discuss their religious affiliations and go through baptism records at their church. Afterwards, Moore describes the history of Las Vegas, Nevada and prominent families in the city as she presents the interviewer her collection of photographs and records.

Helmick discusses her personal history, occupational history, and reasons for moving to Nevada. She also explains events that the United Methodist Church hosts.

Oral history interview with William Rehn conducted by Melissa Valentine on February 15, 1979 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Rehn discusses how he believes people have changed in Las Vegas, Nevada since he moved there in 1939. Rehn bemoans how African Americans were treated and segregated in Las Vegas, and describes his career as a political cartoonist. He describes clubs in Las Vegas and their connection to organized crime, as well as the inner workings of the casinos and their relation to the economy.
