Oral history interviews with Carolyn MacMullen conducted by Su Kim Chung on April 21, 2014 and July 07, 2014 for the West Charleston Neighborhoods: an Oral History Project of Ward 1. In these interviews, MacMullen discusses being a dancer in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Sands, Desert Inn, and Sahara throughout the 1950s. She recalls working as a dresser and describes what it is like to be backstage during a show production. MacMullen then talks about changes in showgirl costumes, the Texas Copa Girls, and her decision to stop dancing. Lastly, MacMullen discusses living in the West Charleston area and changes in Las Vegas.

Oral history interview with Helen Manix conducted by Sherry O’Neil on October 25, 1972 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview Helen Manix shares her experiences in Boulder City, Nevada as the owner of the first department store. Manix discusses the construction of Boulder (Hoover) Dam and the growth of Las Vegas, Nevada as gambling became legal.

Oral history interviews with Richard Bryan conducted by Kristin Guthre on November 10, 2011 and an unknown date for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. Bryan begins by discussing his father’s time as a law student in Washington, D.C. and the influence his father had on his decision to pursue law. Bryan then chronicles moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in the 1940s and growing up in the Huntridge Community near Charleston Boulevard. Bryan recounts attending both the University of Nevada, Reno and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco, California. Bryan describes his experiences in the Las Vegas District Attorney’s office and the Army Reserve. He then recalls his political career as a member of the Nevada Senate, his role as the Attorney General of Nevada, the Governor of Nevada, and as a United States Senator. Lastly, Bryan discusses political issues in Nevada and the United States during his time in office such as debates about renewable energy, environmentalism, and preservation.

Oral history interview with Mary Hausch conducted by Claytee D. White on April 07, 2009 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Hausch discusses her upbringing in Ohio and her career in education journalism during the 1960s and 1970s. She describes attending Ohio University during the protest movements against the Vietnam War and how the Kent State University shootings affected college life. Hausch then talks about working at the Las Vegas Review-Journal during the 1970s, where she covered the education system of Las Vegas, Nevada as it began enforcing racial integration in its schools. She explains how race relations were at the time and Nevada's busing program.

Oral history interview with Stan Armstrong conducted by Megan Laub on December 02, 2014 for the African Americans in Las Vegas: a Collaborative Oral History Project. In this interview, Armstrong discusses his childhood in West Las Vegas, Nevada and describes the neighborhood where he grew up. Armstrong recalls Westside businesses, nightlife, and entertainment that existed on Jackson Street. He then talks about his educational experiences, the racial segregation of schools at the time, and his employment at various stores on the Westside as a teenager. Later, Armstrong discusses the riots that erupted on the Westside in 1969 and shares how it affected the community. He goes on to recall riots that took place at Rancho High School while he was a student there. Lastly, Armstrong talks about his career as a filmmaker and professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).

Oral history interview with Inez Rambeau conducted by Jane Ellsworth Olive on March 26, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Rambeau begins by discussing her family's history in gambling, specifically how her family ran a casino in Louisiana before it was legalized there. Rambeau then discusses her career as the director of sales at the Riviera Hotel & Casino and the convention sales business, as well as efforts to transform Las Vegas into a convention city. She also talks about her boss, Elmo H. Ellsworth, and how he generated interest in Las Vegas with clients and encouraged the city's development.
