Oral history interview with Don R. Waitman conducted by Eileen Green on February 09, 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Waitman begins by describing life in Las Vegas, Nevada during the 1940s and explains how the city has changed and expanded. He describes other aspects of Southern Nevada history and life, including recreational activities and the growth of Henderson, Nevada because of the construction of the Basic Magnesium Plant. Waitman then discusses what life was like in Nevada during World War II, being drafted, and later returning to Las Vegas to work for the United States Postal Service. Waitman concludes by talking about mining in Nevada and his family history.

Oral history interview with Christina Gruber conducted by Barbara Tabach on March 2, 2019 for the Remembering 1 October Oral History Project. In this interview, Gruber shares her experience living in Las Vegas, Nevada since 1997 and as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), mother of two, and physical fitness enthusiast. She recalls being shot during the Route 91 Harvest Festival and being rescued by strangers. She recalls the chaos of the evening, but also how strangers worked together to comfort each other amidst the terror. Oral history interview with John Perazzo conducted by Claytee D. White on June 16, 2016 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Perazzo discusses his upbringing in Las Vegas, Nevada. He talks about attending Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California to obtain a degree mathematics and computer science. Perazzo then recalls his father's work in architecture and his father's employment at the Nevada Test Site. Later, Perazzo discusses becoming a card dealer at the El Cortez Hotel and Casino and describes the challenges in working at casinos. Lastly, Perazzo talks about the development of Fremont Street.

Oral history interview with Alvin Einberger conducted by David G. Schwartz on February 08, 2007 for the Remembering Jay Sarno Oral History Interviews. In this interview, Einberger discusses the life of Jay Sarno. He recalls his experiences with Sarno and tells stories about Sarnos’ career in the gaming industry. Lastly, Einberger discusses the opening of Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1966.

Oral history interview with Herbert Jones conducted by Janice Sorensen on April 03, 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Jones discusses prostitution, his experience working on Boulder (Hoover) Dam, the lack of safety precautions, and the working conditions. He also talks about his experience in politics and his career in law.

Oral history interview with Alberta Shearin conducted by Deanne Lahr on March 12, 1981 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Shearin discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada after her husband was stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in 1943. Shearin describes Las Vegas during World War II and how it has changed, chemical plants in Henderson, Nevada and their effects on the environment, and what her and her family did for recreation. Shearin also discusses the local school system and racial integration in schools and neighborhoods, as well as natural disasters that have occurred in the city.
