Side wings are jacked into place, and concrete is poured thru ports by a traveling crane and 2yd. buckets. Apr. 18, 1932. p.18 #1202 First "jumbo" for pouring concrete lining in top or arch section of tunnels was erected on "beach" in front of tunnel No.2 and transported across river in sections by cableway. May 20, 1932. p.18 #1132 This view and No.1131 show forms set for first side-wall pour in upper portal of tunnel No.3. Form is 80 feet long and consists of four 20ft. sections bolted together.
