Peter Michel is Acting Director of University of Nevada, Las Vegas Lied Library's Special Collections and Archives. This interview was conducted in part for the 20th year celebration of Lied Library. He discusses the construction of Lied Library and his time working in Special Collections and Archives. Peter also talks of his early life, university studies, and professional career that led him to Las Vegas, along with his thoughts on what the future holds for UNLV's Special Collections and Archives.

Oral history interview with Guy Hamblin conducted by Barry Merrell on February 22, 1975 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Hamblin discusses moving from different towns in Nevada before settling down in Southern Nevada, viewing the above-ground atomic bomb tests, early Fremont Street, and his work on the railroad. Hamblin also discusses the demographic and economic changes that he has seen in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Oral history interview with Megan Griffard conducted by Claytee D. White and Stefani Evans on August 22, 2024 for the UNLV Remembers: an Oral History of the 6 December 2023 Shootings project. In this interview, Griffard, UNLV assistant professor in the educational policy and leadership program, describes taking her 18-month-old daughter to the UNLV/CSUN Preschool on the UNLV campus before going to her office. She initially planned to go to the Student Union, where her colleagues had prepared poster presentations when she received the first alert and hid under her desk. Her husband called to tell her he had been called to prepare for mass casualties at UMC and the freeway was closed. She texted her dad, her coworkers, and called the preschool while hiding under her desk. She describes trying to get to the Methodist Church across Maryland Parkway, the designated spot for the preschool parents to be transported to the preschool to pick up their children. When her turn finally came, she was driven to the school and passed through layers of security before she could retrieve her daughter. Her husband soon arrived and the family was eventually able to go home together. The next day, Griffard returned to campus with her colleague who had been in the Student Union. The following Monday, Griffard and her coworkers held a Zoom meeting to check in with each other and talk about their experiences. She talks about the importance of finding the right therapist, learning how to process painful events, and realizing how her recovery has helped her shut down a tendency to people-please. Oral history interview with Monroe Williams conducted by Claytee D. White on August 15, 2000 and August 22, 2000 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview Monroe Williams discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1943, living in the historical Westside neighborhood, and being one of the first black fire fighters in Las Vegas. He also talks about being involved with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored Peoples (NAACP), being in the Navy for two years, and his real estate and property management companies.

Oral history interview with Mark Brandenburg conducted by Claytee D. White and Stefani Evans on September 22, 2017 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Brandenburg discusses his upbringing in Las Vegas, Nevada. He talks about his stepfather’s involvement with the opening of the Golden Gate Hotel and Casino, becoming a co-owner of the property in 1990, and joining other downtown properties to form the Fremont Street Experience. Brandenburg describes the challenges in competing with mega-resorts on the Strip, modernizing the Golden Gate Hotel and Casino, and weaving the history of the Golden Gate Hotel and Casino with that of the more recent Fremont Street Experience. Lastly, Brandenburg discusses the monetization of the street, and the future of the Fremont Street Experience.
