Oral history interview with Valerie Tuftland conducted by Phyllis McKinnon on October 21, 1985 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Oral history interview with Barry Holt conducted by Lee LaVecchia on February 11, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Holt talks about the history of Southern Nevada. He specifically talks about the major changes in Southern Nevada since the 1930s, the Great Depression, and the changes in mode of transportation in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Holt speaks about the differences between growing up in Las Vegas in the fifties and sixties compared to how his children are growing up at the time of the interview. He also discusses education and the religious community in the city.

Oral history interview with Joseph Gemma conducted by Dan Murphy on March 1, 1979 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Gemma discusses employment opportunities, construction work, housing developments, and hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. Gemma also recalls social and environmental changes, local recreation, sports, and the importance of gambling in Nevada.

Oral history interview with Skip Allen conducted by Henry Perzchala on February 27, 1980 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Allen discusses working in human resources for the military, as well as working for his father in the Las Vegas Strip area. Allen also describes recreational activities, his views on morality as a Las Vegan, and some of his experiences in hospitality industry.

Oral history interview with Charles M. Kellog conducted by unidentified interviewer on October 03, 1973 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Kellog discusses how he first entered into the gambling business and his occupational history in Las Vegas, Nevada. He also describes the different places that he and his wife had lived and his intentions to begin the University of Nevada, Las Vegas’ first inter-collegiate soccer team.

Oral history interview with Glenn Sayles conducted by John Vanden Heuvel on March 20, 1978 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Sayles discusses moving from New York state to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1950. Sayles discusses his experience working for the Las Vegas Police Department and an investigator for the Nevada Real Estate Division. Lastly, Sayles discusses the process and legal aspects of working in real estate.

Oral history interview with Joseph LaVoie conducted by Stephanie Gillson on February 26, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, LaVoie discusses being a police officer in Las Vegas, Nevada from 1945 to 1966, as well as life around the city at the time and its expansion. LaVoie also discusses the nearby nuclear testing.
