Generally, materials are transferred from UNLV Photo Services to UNLV Special Collections and Archives 5 years after they are created. This finding aid contains the photographic negatives, contact sheets, and digital files produced by the University of Nevada, Las Vegas from 1990 to 1999 as an official record of the institution's development, activities, and community. Clients include UNLV colleges and departments, the University's administration, the UNLV Foundation, athletic departments, and the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE). Images include academic activities, athletic events, faculty and administration, student life, campus life, campus development, architecture, and public relations.

The Junior League of Las Vegas Photograph Collection contains photographic prints and negatives, as well as postcards of locations in and around Las Vegas, Nevada between approximately 1900 and 1980. Early photographs in the collection offer views of the Las Vegas townsite, buildings, railroads, the Las Vegas High School, Overland Hotel, Arizona Club, and residential areas. Other photographs during this time depict the Hoover Dam (Boulder Dam) construction and Death Valley, California. Later photographs show the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) campus, downtown Las Vegas, and the Las Vegas Strip.
