Abstract
The MGM Mirage Corporation Records date from 1970 to 2010 and consist of the records of the Las Vegas, Nevada based global entertainment company. The collection contains organizational records, employee newsletters, files about the MGM Mirage diversity and inclusion initiative, correspondence, reports on gambling addiction, gambling statistics, press clippings, and audiovisual materials. There are also photographs, photographic slides, and photographic negatives of performers, corporate executives, and MGM Mirage properties.

Abstract
The Mesquite Club Records (1911-2016) contain the organizational files of the Mesquite Club, the oldest women's service club in Las Vegas, Nevada. Materials include meeting agendas and minutes, correspondence, committee reports, newsletters, scrapbooks, and photographic prints and negatives. The records document the club's administrative structure, community service projects, social events, and relationship with the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC).

Abstract
The Wengert Family Papers (approximately 1900-2000) consist of scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, correspondence, postcards, photographs, and other documents from members of the Wengert family. The Wengert family were members of the Las Vegas, Nevada community since 1907. The collection contains items detailing Lottie Ward Wengert’s life in Iowa before she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, such as high school and college documents and diplomas, as well as programs and invitations for events in Iowa, Las Vegas, and other cities. The materials regarding Cyril S. Wengert are mostly newspaper clippings about his accomplishments and articles and cards expressing sympathy after his death. Other items include documents from the U-Wah-Un Study Club, of which Shirley Wengert was a member.

Description
Jarmilla McMillan-Arnold’s father, Dr. James B. McMillan, was the first black dentist in the state of Nevada. Dr. McMillan’s colleagues consisted of Dr. West, the first black medical doctor in the state, and Dr. Ice, the first black surgeon in Nevada. This interview highlights and archives the solid foundation upon which Nevada’s black community was built. Jarmilla recalls early memories of growing up as the daughter of Las Vegas NAACP president Dr. McMillan. She was born in Detroit, Michigan, to a Caucasian and Indian mother who was a professional dancer. Jarmilla’s parents separated when she was very young and as a result she was raised by her paternal grandmother who owned a restaurant in Pontiac, Michigan. Jarmilla describes her grandmother as being well-known and highly regarded in the community where she maintained her business. Jarmilla attended Catholic schools in Detroit, Pontiac, and Las Vegas. Description
On March 2, 1980, collector David Mowrey interviewed Barbara Millington (born July 3rd, 1937 in Oak Creek, Colorado) at her home in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this interview, Mrs. Millington discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada with her family and working various jobs including at Vegas Village and becoming a bookkeeper at a construction firm. She also speaks about the changes she has seen in Las Vegas, such as how casinos were when she first came here compared to how they are now. She ends the interview talking about the need for Las Vegas to find industry outside of gaming. She discusses the need for young people to come back after going away to college to improve the city.

Description
Lisle stands at the edge of the reservoir fed by an artesian well on his homestead.
Transcribed Notes: Transcribed from photo sleeve: "John Quincy "Jack" Lisle at the edge of the reservoir on his homestead in the Las Vegas Valley, about 1930. The reservoir is located not far from the present intersection of Twain and Eastern streets and was one of the best artesian wells in the Las Vegas Valley. At the time it was necessary to make a winding road off the Boulder Highway to reach the homestead. Most people thought that Lisle was absolutely insane to locate a homestead in such a desolate place, but Lisle, and amateur geologist, staked his claim there because he figured that water would be abundant because the land was near the Flamingo Wash. At one time Lisle raised 40 acres of alfalfa on the property."
