The Joseph "Wingy" Manone Papers (1934-1996) include a partial draft of his autobiography, newspaper clippings, correspondence, magazine articles, and press releases related to his musical career. Manone also wrote music, some of which is included in the collection.
The George Ladd Papers are comprised of a scrapbook dating from 1903 to 1906 that documents the final years of George Ladd, who was involved with the Bullfrog Mine in Rhyolite, Nevada. The scrapbook contents include personal correspondence, certificates of assays, telegrams, mining purchases, bank deposit slips, and correspondence between Ladd and the Bullfrog Mining Company.
The UNLV Libraries Collection of 1983 Hoover Dam Overflow Photographs is a series of color photographs that document the historic water overflow at Hoover Dam as seen from the Arizona side of the dam. Taken in August of 1983, this overflow marked the first time the spillways were used during a flood. The spillways were previously tested once in 1941 after the dam was initially filled.
Gary Sternberg grew up in Germany, witnessing anti-Semitic propaganda as early as age 7. He describes some of the experiences his father endured at a concentration camp, and his escape to China. He and his mother reunited with his father in Shanghai in 1940. They left Shanghai in 1948, eventually settling in Cleveland. He and his family came to Las Vegas in 1969.

The collection contains school event clippings, newspaper clippings, scrapbooks, pamphlets, physical and digital photographs, and school jackets and sweaters. Additionally, the collection chronicles the lives of many students after graduation through school reunion documentation from the 1970s to 2017. The collection also includes planning files for class reunion celebrations including the 40th, 50th, and 55th reunions.

The collection includes a wide variety of photographs that document the activities, landmarks, geographical features, towns, ranches, and families of Nye County. The collection covers the areas of Amargosa Valley, Ash Meadows, Beatty, Duckwater, Gabbs, Goldfield, Kawich Mountains, Manhattan, Pahrump, Round Mountain, Rhyolite, Smoky Valley, Springdale, Tecopa, Tonopah, and Twin Springs. The activities documented include mining, prospecting, herding animals, schooling, ranching, building construction, railroad construction, and hunting and fishing.
The George Kelly Ryan Photograph Collection (1929) depicts waterways in Southern Nevada and Northern Arizona. The collection consists of eight photographic prints and two photographic negatives depicting Saint Thomas, Black Canyon, Boulder Canyon, and the Colorado River.
The Nevada Consolidated Copper Company Photograph Albums (1906-1907) contain two photograph albums from the mining company's chief engineer's office. The photograph albums include cyanotype and black-and-white photographs depicting the construction of the smelting plant, equipment, railroad, and landscape of Ruth, Nevada.
