Description

A street view of a flood in Tonopah, Nevada. Various shops and stores can be seen along either side of the street, along with sign advertisements for Leggett Advertising Co., Sierra Brewing Co., and the Mizpah Hotel. Various automobiles can also be seen either driving down or parked on the flooded street. Included with the image is a hand-drawn map identifying the buildings on the street.

Abstract

The Blanch Jackson Photograph Collection (approximately 1900-1941) contains black-and-white photographic prints and negatives from the Jackson family’s life in Tonopah, Nevada and their travels to mining sites in Nevada and Arizona. Blanch, her husband Clyde, her father-in-law Colonel David Howell Jackson, their two sons, and some acquaintances are pictured in the photographs.
