Will Beckley, at desk, stands at the rear of his store. "The store, his first one, was established in 1908 and was located inside the Nevada Hotel at the corner of Main and Fremont. Beckley used to cuff pants himself. One night he left the iron on and burned the place down." - Virginia Beckley Richardson.

Description

At the Lido in Paris, 1951. Photograph shows dancers in "Rendez-Vous", a show staged by Donn Arden at the Lido in Paris in 1951. The Lido was a famous cabaret, and there were many Donn Arden productions at this particular location. The dancers all are wearing elaborate headdresses and costumes, and the audience looks on as they perform.The stamp on back of photo reads "La Mention Photo-Renoux est obligatoire sous chaque reproduction.
