Abstract
The Marion Brooks Photograph Collection (approximately 1983-1989) contains one black-and-white photographic negative depicting Brooks with his family and associates, as well as three black-and-white photographic negatives of the Blue Diamond Mine in Clark County, Nevada. These negatives are reproductions of originals loaned to UNLV University Libraries Special Collection and Archives in 1983.

The Nelda Cole Photograph Collection consists of nineteen black-and-white photographic prints and three negatives, dated from approximately 1880 to 1920. Locations include Ely, McGill, Osceola, and Taylor, Nevada, the Copper Flat Mine near Ely, and the Shellenberger Ranch in White Pine County, Nevada. Also included are images of individuals and groups, mostly unidentified.

The John Steiger Photograph Collection contains black-and-white photographic prints of H. E. Steiger, John Steiger's father, in and around Las Vegas, Nevada in the 1920s. Images depict H. E. Steiger and various other identified and unidentified individuals in various locations surrounding Las Vegas, including Wilson Ranch, Mount Charleston, and Boulder Canyon. Some images of the Las Vegas Grammar School include John Steiger's mother, who was an elementary school teacher in Las Vegas from 1919 to 1920. The majority of items in this collection are digital surrogates, and the donor retains the original items.

The Stanley Mitchell Photograph Collection (approximately 1900-1980) consists of black-and-white photographic prints. The images portray street scenes and residents from mining communities in Southern Nevada, including Beatty, Alamo, Goldfield, Nye County, Pioche, Carrara, Esmeralda County, and Belmont, Nevada. Other images include officials signing a water bond in Esmeralda County members of the Central Nevada Cattlemen’s Association, and the Little Oasis Market in Alamo.

The Pat Jones Photograph Collection (approximately 1925-1930) consists of black-and-white photographic prints and slides of Harry Suiter in Rhyolite, Nevada. There are images of Suiter standing in front of abandoned buildings, as well as scenery near Rhyolite. Also included is an image of a wagon transport containing borax in Death Valley, California.

The photographs primarily depict Fremont Street in Las Vegas, Nevada and the construction of the Hoover (Boulder) Dam on the Colorado River. The photographs also include the Union Pacific Railroad Depot in Las Vegas, Nevada, the abandoned town of Rhyolite, Nevada, and a mining camp in El Dorado Canyon.
