The handwritten text on the back reads: "Dear Olive, Received your card a couple of days ago but I tell my lessons take all my time. Have a fine teacher one that knows what he's doing. Gee, I miss you. Will write late Wanda." The handwritten text on the front reads: "I played for the [R.] Church last Sunday night and will play tonight. I want you to write as often as you can."

A tent house - boarded up about halfway and desks built against the fall - pupils sat facing the wall. Miss Plum (sp?) from Reno was the teacher." Note: "Earle" previously referred to may be Earle Eglington.

St. Christopher's Catholic Church, the first Catholic Church in Southern Nevada. It was originally located on Las Vegas Boulevard North, but moved to 1800 Bruce Street in 1959. The parish dates back to 1909. The last mass before relocating relocating the church was held on September 6, 1959.
