Edward A. Collins was born on March 30th, 1916. He moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1955. He worked as a dealer, a captain in a showroom at the Frontier Hotel, and had many more jobs on the Las Vegas Strip.

Charles A. Bennett was born on August 20, 1914 to Arthur and Olive Bennett. Bennett attended the University of Kentucky and went to work in Los Angeles with a friend in the restaurant business. He later decided to move to Las Vegas, Nevada.

Roberta Martin grew up in Chicago, Illinois. She earned her law degree from Tuskegee University. In 2012, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. Martin serves on the UNLV Foundation Advisory Board.

African-American actor and singer-songwriter Herb Jeffries was born Umberto Alexander Valentino (alternately spelled Balentino) in Detroit, Michigan in 1913. Jeffries was "Hollywood's first singing black cowboy."

Clarence Ray was born February 28, 1900 in Fresno, California. Ray first visited Las Vegas in 1922, came to stay in 1925, and has lived there for most of the time since then.
