Oral history interview with Jan Van Tuyl conducted by D.R. Brainard on March 21, 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Van Tuyl discusses his personal history, specifically his educational background and growing up in Las Vegas, Nevada. Van Tuyl talks about his military service in the United States Air Force and his transition to education. Later, Van Tuyl discusses coaching a gymnastics team, the Las Vegas Comets.

Oral history interview with Eddie Buxton conducted by Bernard D. Vardiman on March 30, 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Buxton describes the significance of some of his ancestors, including Ernest May, who was the first law enforcement officer in Las Vegas, Nevada killed in the line of duty in 1933. Buxton also recalls the development of both Las Vegas and North Las Vegas, going to school in the city, and his father’s work on Hoover Dam.

She describes how Las Vegas has developed and changed since moving there in 1950, as well as her family ancestry, her extended family, and friends of her family. She goes on to discuss her recreational activities, education, and tells several anecdotes about life in Las Vegas.

Oral history interview with Elena Newman conducted by Cecilia Winchell and Stefani Evans on April 11, 2022 for the Reflections: the Las Vegas Asian American and Pacific Islander Oral History Project. In this interview, Newman discusses her childhood in Dagupan, Pangasinan, Philippines. At the age of eighteen, she moved to Singapore for better work opportunities to help support her family. After meeting her husband, the couple moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. Since moving to Las Vegas, Newman has spent her time working as both a guest room attendant and shop steward at Mandalay Bay. She is also a part of the Culinary Workers Union, and she discusses how helpful the union is to the livelihoods of the many workers in the casino industry.

Oral history interview with Henry Kronberg conducted by Barbara Tabach on February 26, 2015 for the Southern Nevada Jewish Heritage Project. In this interview Kronberg talks about his childhood in Germany and Poland, his experience being imprisoned by the Gestapo, and being transported to a concentration camp. He talks about surviving the Holocaust and meeting his wife. He discusses being reunited with his sister in Las Vegas, Nevada after decades of searching. Kronberg discusses purchasing Stoney's, a loan and pawn shop, anti-Semitism, and water resources in Southern Nevada.

Oral history interview with Olivia Meneses conducted by Elsa Lopez and Barbara Tabach on September 18, 2019 for the Latinx Voices of Southern Nevada Oral History Project. Olivia Meneses describes growing up in Mexico City and attending la Universidad Iberoamericana during the 1968 student movement that culminated in the Tlatelolco massacre. She discusses migrating to the United States in 1983 and moving to Las Vegas in 1985, where she began teaching Spanish to kindergarten students.

Oral history interview with Rochelle Hornsby conducted by Barbara Tabach on November 30, 2016 for the Southern Nevada Jewish Heritage Project. Hornsby arrived in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1962 when her former husband Len took a position with a local radio station. Her sales talent led her into promotional sales for conventions and she talks about her former husband's and her careers in Las Vegas. For over twenty years she has been a residential real estate agent. She also talks about volunteering with the Temple Beth Sholom Sisterhood, and the 25th Anniversary celebration of Israel.
