Jack Lehman discusses his military career, the Korean War, and the civil rights movement in Nevada. He also discusses being a lawyer at the biggest law firm in Las Vegas, Nevada, a district court judge, and an instructor of a hotel law class at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Oral history interviews with Moniru Ravanipur conducted by Claytee D. White on February 13, 2013, March 06, 2013, and April 24, 2013 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In these interviews, Ravanipur discusses her upbringing in Iran, her experience of the Iranian Revolution, and her writing, which ranges from fiction to autobiographical. Ravanipur describes living by the sea in the Persian Gulf, and how the religious beliefs of the people in that area differed from those of the Islamic Republic and the rest of Iran. She describes attending Tehran University during the revolution and being persecuted for her political beliefs, forcing her to flee to Kurdistan to escape possible execution. Ravanipur explains the history behind the Iranian Revolution and how she observed the country changing religiously and in its customs and norms, as well as the violence she witnessed. She concludes by describing how she became a prominent writer in Iran and internationally, and briefly describes applying for fellowship at University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Oral history interview with Chester A. Hodson Jr. conducted by Marlene L. Larson on March 04, 1981 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Hodson discusses his family history and development of the Las Vegas, Nevada Strip. He specifically discusses his school years, the growth of Las Vegas, Nevada, and problems in terms of city businesses. Mr. Hodson also speaks about working in the restaurant industry in Las Vegas, as well as his father’s experience working in the industry.

Oral history presentation by Stephen Long recorded approximately 1987-2008 and donated to the UNLV University Libraries Oral History Collection. In this presentation, Long describes his enlistment in the United States Air Force soon after graduating from college in 1966, his training to become a pilot, and being sent to Vietnam in 1968. He explains his role as a forward air control pilot, responsible for relaying information of enemy positions to attack aircraft, and how he was shot down on February 28, 1969 he was captured in Laos and subsequently held as a prisoner-of-war for 1,490 days.

Oral history interviews with Rob Schlegel conducted by Dennis McBride on various dates in March and April of 1998 for the Las Vegas Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Archives Oral History Project. In the interviews, Schlegel recalls his early life in Port Angeles, Washington, his conservative Baptist upbringing, and his early experiences with literature. Oral history interview with Bonnie and Billy Wilkinson conducted by Claytee D. White on May 10, 2008 for the History of Blue Diamond Village in Nevada Oral History Project. The Wilkinsons open the interview by discussing their personal histories. Billy recalls moving to Jean, Nevada in 1940 where his father worked on the railroad, and eventually settling to Blue Diamond, Nevada in the 1950s. The two describe the Four Mile brothel, Bonnie Springs Ranch, and their experience as a married couple in Blue Diamond. Bonnie talks about her employment at the Blue Diamond Gypsum Corporation plant and describes going to school in Blue Diamond. Lastly, the two discuss West Las Vegas, Nevada in the 1950s and share anecdotes of their lives in Las Vegas.

Oral history interview with Faye Rhea Porter conducted by Barbara Tabach on June 13, 2012 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Porter discusses her father's employment at the Nevada Test Site. Porter talks about her father being unable to describe the type of work he did with family or friends and tells anecdotes about the secrecy of the test site. She then recalls her sister and her employment at the Nevada Test Site until an accident on the way to the site resulted in her death.

Caviglia discusses the relationship between Catholic Schools in Las Vegas, Nevada. He also talks about the need for education in Henderson, Nevada and federal senior housing.

Oral history interview with Sebastian Mikulich Sr. conducted by Sherry Angell on July 17, 1975 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Mikulich discusses his personal history and his employment with Southern Pacific Railroad. Mikulich describes the expansion of railroads throughout California, Nevada, and Arizona. Later, he recalls working during the Korean War, and the increase of transportation on trains in the 1960s. Lastly, he explains the work he performed on the trains and shares anecdotes from his career.
