Oral history interview with Nanyu Tomiyasu conducted by Andrew Russell on March 22, 1987. In this interview, Tomiyasu discusses his father's large-scale commercial farm in Las Vegas, Nevada and the amount of produce the farm produced through the 1920s. He expands on the impact of the 1922 railroad strike, particularly in regard to the Japanese population in the city. He recounts the general lack of discrimination and segregation against Japanese residents in Las Vegas, how Japanese families integrated with the community and how they maintained their cultural traditions. Later, he begins to discuss the impact of World War II on Japanese in the people living in the western states, Las Vegas' response to its Japanese residents, and how relocation and internment impacted families.

Ken Hanlon oral history interview conducted by Cynthia Cicero on January 17, 2014 for the UNLV University Libraries Oral History Collection. In this interview, Hanlon discribes his background, talking about his childhood in Maryland, his early interest in music, and the opportunity to study with the same band teacher through middle and high school. He talks about starting to play a baritone horn before switching to the trombone, his early experiences playing with dance bands, starting private lessons, and eventually matriculating to the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, Maryland. He continues, relating his five years teaching middle-school music after graduating from college, and his decision to move to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1968 to seek work as a full-time musician. After talking about some of the difficulties he faced finding work, he discusses his time in a road band and deciding to apply to teach at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). He explains that he was hired to teach as an adjunct in 1970 and two weeks later was offered the job of department chair, a role he held for 16 years before moving into university administration. During this period he continued to perform, playing trombone in the Sands Hotel and Casino house band under the direction of Antonio Morelli. Finally, he discusses Morelli at more length, and concludes by talking about endowments for music education and the Arnold Shaw music collection at the Arnold Shaw Center at UNLV.

Oral history interviews with Leva Beckley conducted by Bernard Timberg of KLVX Channel 10 on January 20 and 31, 1974. In this interview, Buckley talks of moving to Las Vegas, Nevada with her husband in 1910, setting up her husband's clothing business at the Hotel Nevada, the construction of the family home at 120 South Fourth Street, and the birth of her two children. She discusses raising her children, the various amusements the community offered to young families, and her activities as a charter member of the Mesquite Club. She also responds to questions about changes in the culture of the city, particularly in regard to crime and illegal activities. Finally, she shares family photographs with the interviewer.

Oral history interview with Jerry Fox conducted by Barbara Tabach on November 12, 2014 for the Southern Nevada Jewish Heritage Project. In this interview, Fox discusses his father's restaurant, Foxy's Delicatessen, which opened on the Las Vegas, Nevada Strip in the 1950s, and his own business endeavors including the Tinder Box and an embroidery business.

Oral history interview with Barbara Atkinson conducted by Claytee D. White on August 5, 2019 for the UNLV School of Medicine Oral History Project. Atkinson begins by talking about her family and early life. She recounts her experience in medical school, women in medicine, and sexism and discrimination in medical schools. She brings up her mentors and what she had learned from each of them. She explains her pathology specialization, her research, and publications she has written. After, Atkinson talks about her occupation history and her retirement. She mentions how some attitudes about women and sexism have changed and some have stayed the same within the medical profession. She was hired by Don Snyder, John White, and Carl Reiber in 2014 to make a medical school at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She goes in depth about the process, plans, obstacles, and the general medical training the students go through. Atkinson then talks about the history of Nevada's medical schools in Reno, Nevada and Las Vegas, Nevada. Lastly, she talks about her opinions on health care, her outlook on future generations, future plans for UNLV School of Medicine, and community of color interactions.

Oral history interviews with Rozita Lee conducted by Stefani Evans, Cecilia Winchell, Kristel Peralta, Vanessa Concepcion, Jerwin Tiu, and Su Kim Chung on June 1, 2021, April 12, 2022, and May 18, 2023 for Reflections: The Las Vegas Asian American and Pacific Islander Oral History Project. Rozita shares her experiences growing up on a sugar plantation with her family in Hawaii. She talks about the benefits her family received and the "privileged" life she led with her father as the plantation boss, allowing her household to have electricity, plumbing, and a telephone. Rozita discusses her use of Pidgin English amongst her peers and "good English" in her household, and the roles and responsibilities her parents had working on the plantation. She shares what life was like day to day and what she remembers growing up during World War II including hearing air raid sirens and hanging blackout curtains in her home. Rozita also talks about meeting her husband, Clifford Lee, in high school, their marriage in 1979, and how the couple came to move to Las Vegas. In the second interview, Lee discusses pursuing a bachelor's degree at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), working with Governor Miller and Bob Bailey, and her involvement in a Polynesian show at Imperial Palace for eighteen years.

Oral history interview with Melody Stein conducted by Barbara Tabach on August 16, 2016 for the Southern Nevada Jewish Heritage Project. Stein discusses teaching at the Hebrew Academy and Adelson Educational Campus. She also discusses Jewish art and various forms and mediums of art. She then talks about her involvement with the local Polymer Clay Guild and their various projects.
