From the UNLV Libraries Single Item Accession Photograph Collection (PH-00171). The Ward Charcoal Ovens located in Eastern Nevada near Ely are remnants of Nevada's silver and lead booms in the 1870s. The ovens are 30 feet high.

There are approximately 5,756 titles that originate from a wide variety of departments across the UNLV campus, including (but not limited to): history, criminal justice, fine arts, engineering, and the sciences. Electronic theses and dissertations (2017-2020) were transferred to UNLV University Archives for preservation purposes and are not accessible through Special Collections.
