Guest register for the Hotel Nevada which opened on the southeast corner of Main Street and Fremont Street in Las Vegas in 1906. This particular volume lists guest names and their home cities for the period spanning July 1910 through September 1911.

On the west side of the Strip from left to right: the Royal Nevada, Silver Slipper, and the New Frontier hotel-casinos. The Last Frontier Village is pictured to the left of the New Frontier including the Sportsdrome track that was used for jalopy races and rodeos.

Transcribed Notes: Transcribed from handwritten inscription on back of photo by Elizabeth Harrington: "Las Vegas Creek, formed by the overflow from one well that supplied the town of Las Vegas with its complete water supply for many years. This picture taken in 1925 near the head of the creek. Las Vegas Creek furnished a welcome playground for many youths, especially in the hot weather."

Written on the back of the postcard: "The Valley of Fire is a spectacular formation of red sandstone, so named because of atmospheric conditions, which bring out the brilliance of colors, resembling flames. It is also of interest for its Indian hieroglyphics and petrified forest."
