The UNLV Libraries Collection of Boyd Gaming Promotional Materials and Reports includes annual reports, clippings, financial reports, a press kit, press releases, and promotional materials for Boyd Gaming Corporation in Las Vegas, Nevada, dating from 1986-2009.
Archival Collection
The Benedict Family Papers materials date from roughly 1905-1998 and are comprised of correspondence and letters (1969-1971) written to Howard Hughes by the public. The collection also contains correspondence written to Robert Maheu, former chief executive of Nevada operations for Howard Hughes. The collection also includes a variety of casino and gambling related product catalogs, gaming guides for Las Vegas casinos, and of research papers and reports primarily relating to sports betting and cheating.

The William Flangas Srapbooks document his anti-smoking efforts in Nevada from 1974 to 2014. These materials include correspondence, articles, copies of assembly bills, newsletters related to smoking and health, and newsletters related to non-smokers.

The Stocker Family Papers (1860-1982) document the family’s personal, political, and business interests including Mayme Stocker’s 1931 Nevada gaming license and Harold Stocker’s involvement in the Nevada Republican party. The collection contains family correspondence, political documents and planning materials, and business records related to the family’s gaming and real estate interests.

The Ron Lawrence Photograph Collection contains mainly photographs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) events (approximately 1980-1994, 2013) around Las Vegas, Nevada taken by Ron Lawrence. The collection consists primarily of photographs of the First Annual Gay Pride Banquet and Awards hosted at the Moyer Student Union at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), events at the Gay Academic Union at UNLV, and the first Gay Pride celebration in Las Vegas. Also included are photographs of the First Annual Honorarium by the Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada, personal photographs of Ron Lawrence and his friends, and parties at the home of Ron Lawrence and Ernie Egyd.

The Beckley Family Photograph Collection (approximately 1891-1982) consists of black-and-white photographic prints and negatives and color photographic slides. The images depict the Beckley family, their businesses in southern Nevada, and Las Vegas, Nevada as the city developed during the first half of the twentieth century. Also included are images of airplanes at the first Las Vegas airport Anderson Field, later renamed Rockwell Field in 1925, Fremont Street in Las Vegas, and postcards of mining towns across southern Nevada.

The Claudine Williams Photograph Collection (approximately 2007-2009) consists of nine optical disks containing ninety-eight digital surrogate images dating between 1940 and 2000. The images primarily portray Claudine Williams in publicity images for various hotel and casinos Williams and her husband owned alongside prominent individuals, including Dean Martin, Hillary and Bill Clinton, and Robert Reich. Other images depict Williams in her youth and with her family members. Additional materials include images of Williams’ business cards, articles in various Las Vegas and Nevada magazines and newspapers on Williams, and images of properties Williams operated.
