Oral history interview with Janice Haupt Allen conducted by Barbara Tabach on November 27, 2017 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Allen discusses her early life and arriving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1947. She talks about her involvement in the Las Vegas community, becoming a news reporter with the Las Vegas Age, and becoming a Smith Center for the Performing Arts founder. Allen describes working with school children in Las Vegas, partnering with Vegas PBS, and issues with the Clark County School District education system.

Oral history interview with Clarence Lawrence conducted by Rhonda Davis on April 11, 2006 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Lawrence reflects upon his career as a teacher and administrator in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He discusses his approach to school administration, and his working relationship with teachers and other administrators. He describes his regular responsibilities and challenges as principal, and discusses how different experiences shaped his approach to administration. Oral history interview with Carl Partridge conducted by Michelle Lee Muniz on April 16, 2003 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Partridge reflects upon his career as an elementary school teacher and administrator in Nevada’s Clark County School District (CCSD). He discusses the process by which he became a teacher with CCSD, later became a principal, and opened Myrtle Tate Elementary School in 1971. He also describes his approach to school administration, job responsibilities and salaries, and the Right to Read multimedia program that he developed throughout his career.

Oral history interview with Robert Anaya conducted by Beatriz Romero on May 02, 2002 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Anaya reflects upon his 30-year career as a teacher and administrator in Texas, prior to working for Nevada’s Clark County School District (CCSD) in the 1990s. He discusses his upbringing and training that led to his becoming a teacher and eventually an administrator, and describes his philosophy of education. He discusses his relationships with school superintendents and the Board of Education as a principal, and his decision to retire and move to Las Vegas, Nevada to work with CCSD.

Oral history interview with Richard Plaster conducted by Claytee D. White and Stefani Evans on March 21, 2017 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Plaster discusses his early life in Santa Monica, California, and moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1973. He recalls his early interests in real estate, forming his company Signature Homes, and the first home building projects he was involved in. Lastly, Plaster describes land acquisition during the late 1970s, building mass housing, and his role as President of the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association (SNHBA).

Oral history interview with Lon Bronson conducted by Barbara Tabach on May 23, 2018 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Bronson discusses his early life in Keene, New Hampshire, and his initial interest in music. Bronson talks about arriving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1985, the musical scene in the city at the time, and the musician’s union strike of 1989. He describes when casino shows switched from live musicians to prerecorded music, and the shortage of jobs for musicians after that decision. Lastly, Bronson discusses the current entertainment scene in Las Vegas.
