Joel Bergman oral history interview conducted by Stefani Evans and Claytee White on August 03, 2016 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Bergman discusses his architectural career, which began with his graduation in architecture from the University of Southern California (USC). He also discusses his work with Martin Stern, his sixteen years with Steve Wynn, and the formation of his own architectural firm, Bergman Walls and Associates.
Laurie Brower interviews Miriam Belmont (b. 1923), who moved to Nevada in 1928, at her home in Las Vegas. Brower, Belmont, and Belmont’s son are all present during the entirety of the interview. During the interview Belmont discusses her move to Las Vegas, various occupations, education, addresses, church involvement, Hoover Dam, famous people, atomic testing, Old Ranch Country Club in Southern California, and the ways in which Las Vegas had changed since she first arrived.

Yoxen begins her interview by discussing how she first arrived in Las Vegas, Nevada to work for the U.S. State Department in the 1950s. She then describes her childhood in Alabama, competing in the Miss America pageant, and her life in Miami, Florida. Yoxen also discusses living in North Africa and Berlin, Germany while working for the State Department as a clerk. She then talks about moving around with her sister and her family, and eventually coming to Las Vegas. She describes what Las Vegas was like in the 1950s. Yoxen ends her interview with a discussion on her family, her husband's work, and their recreational activities.
