Audio abruptly begins, and a woman is giving the couple direction as the camera rolls. Couple then appear on the beach, and the neon signs are visible as the sun begins to set; couple speak to another infront of Vegas Vic sign, then move to a boat on the river, and then ends with the couple talking inside a Pioneer Hotel room. Original media U-matic S, color, aspect ratio 4 x 3, frame size 720 x 486.

Description
The black and white, aerial view of Howard Hughes' Lockheed 14 aircraft performing its final landing on the Round the World flight at Floyd Bennett Airport, New York. Typed onto a piece of paper attached to the image: "Journey's End: This airplane view records the end of Howard Hughes' history-making dash around the world in three days, nineteen hours. To the right of the Administration Building at Floyd Bennett Field, Long Island, New York, can be seen the globe-girdling monoplane surrounded by a ring of policemen. The foreground provides an accurate idea of the size of the crowd which stormed the field to welcome home the fliers. Credit Line (ACME)."

From the David Rea Collection of Howard Hughes Publicity Photographs (PH-00400). This collection is comprised of publicity photographs of Howard Hughes and his aircrafts, from approximately the 1940s to the 1950s, that were compiled by David Rea, former pilot for Hughes Aircraft Company. This collection also includes clippings and technical drawings of Hughes aircrafts. Note: Newspaper clippings were not digitized, but are available in the reading room. All digital objects from this collection are part of a photographic album.
