The Clark County Attorney General Files on the Howard Hughes Estate (1976-1978) contain files of legal correspondence, newspaper clippings, and letters received from private individuals by the Attorney General's office regarding Howard Hughes' will after his passing in April 1976. The files were collected by Clark County District Attorney George E. Holt.

Description given with photo: "Hughes Alone As Probers Recess Till Fall, Washington, D.C. - Plane builder Howard Hughes, above, sat alone in the normally jam-packed senate caucus room today after war investigating sub-committee chairman Homer Ferguson, (R) of Mich., announced that because of the disappearance of press agent John W. Meyer, the Hughes war contract investigation has been recessed until November 17, 1947. Parker Dam is commonly referred to as "the deepest dam in the world" because 73% of the dam's structural height is positioned below the original river bed. Note: Boulder Dam was officially renamed Hoover Dam in 1947.
